The Sinfulness of Man The Righteousness Of God Dr. Richard Walker July 24, 2011
Romans 3:21-26 The sinfulness of man is contrasted with the righteousness of God. The real gospel of Jesus Christ is revealed with an emphasis on the recognition of sin in an individuals life. Sin is missing the mark of God's perfect goodness. Sin can include adultry, stealing, gossip, drinking alcohol, and having thoughts that do not bring honor to God. Sin is bringing our Nation to ruin. Sin is a wall that divides sinful man from a righteous God. God cannot look at a sinful man. Man must acknowledge that he is a sinner and needs Jesus to be his savior from sin. Faith in Jesus and and trusting in His shed blood poured out as a sacrifice for our sin is the only way for man to have a relationship with God. Only through the righteousness of Jesus can man come into the presence of God. Man without Jesus is judged as guilty and sentenced to an eternity in hell. Where are you? Trust in Jesus today.
Being Humble Doers Of the Word Dr. Richard Walker July 10, 2011
Romans 2: 17-29, I Corinthians 10:12, Proverbs 6:17, Numbers 32:23 Being Humble Doers of the Word and not hearers or proclaimers only. Pride is the original sin and the worst kind of pride is religious pride. A proud look is despised by God and drives people away from His Church. Showing up at church with the "I'm a Kings Kid" attitude saying "serve me" is not taught in the Bible. Jesus set the example of humility by washing his disciples feet. A prideful attitude that judges others will break the hedge of protection that God may have placed in your life. The very sin you point out in others may become a stumbling block for you. In pride you can dishonor God through both "secret" and exposed sin. There is no such thing as a private life. God sees. Search your heart do you outwardly profess Christ without any inward transformation? Has the miracle of being cleansed from sin by Jesus from the inside out happened in you life? Trust in Jesus today.
The Heavenly Worship Of A Holy And Just God Dr. Richard Walker July 10, 2011
Revelation 15:1-8 Like John Wooden, God is not a pushover. He has standards that we must follow. He wants us to be saved, trusting fully in Him, and he wants us to live a Holy life.
A Vision Of The Final Harvest Dr. Richard Walker June 26, 2011
Letting God's Goodness Lead to Repentance Dr. Richard Walker June 26, 2011
Fellowship of Christian Atheletes Scott Pope and Randall Smith share their love with us, Romans 2:1-11 Paul identified himself as a slave and a debtor. 1. The sinful self righteous state of man. Religion may have sent more people to hell than anything. Self righteous people criticize others, fault find, and whittle down others in size. Man estranged from God is sinful. 2. The coming judgement of God (v. 2-3, 5-6, and 8-9) Be sure your sins will find you out. a) God judges according to truth, righteous, inescapable system of judgement. (Unlike the justice where the innocent are found guilty and the guilty go free.) 3. The Goodness and longsuffering of God- Leads you to repentance II Peter 3-9. When God delays judgement, everyday that he waits is a gift. We must open up and receive him while there is time. Many despise the goodness of God. 4. The Gracious Blessings of God (v. 7-10) a. Eternal Life - Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, ---When you die - Then what? b. Glory c. Honor d. Immortality e. Peace 5. The Perfect Justice of God (v. 11) Sunday Morning is the most segregated time of the week. God is no respector of persons. God does not have any Grandchildren. Each person must receive Christ.
Our Identity In Christ Dr. Richard Walker June 5, 2011
Romans 1:1-7 We have a self centered culture. Our perception of ourself can effect what we attempt in life. Paul saw himself as a bondservant a term meaning slave of Jesus Christ (John McArthur-"Slave"). Are you a runaway slave? Do you do things that do not please Jesus. Make Jesus the Lord of your life and follow him. Do not fall for the self centered idea that says "serve me I'm a Kings Kid". Even Jesus came to serve. Paul saw himself as an Apostle. A divinely appointed ambassador sent on a mission. Once on the mission he did not come home until the mission was accomplished. Paul was separated to the Gospel, from the cares and enticements of the world as a holy vessel to be used in God's service. You cannot live for Jesus and please the world. You are bought with a price if you are a believer. He was called to personal obedience to the commands of Christ. He saw himself as an object of God's love.He would have allowed christ to drive a nail through his ear lobe. He saw himself as a saint as a Holy one in the sight of God through the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ. How do you see yourself? Are you like Paul? Trust Jesus and become His bond servant today.
The Demonstration of God's Love Dr. Richard Walker May 29, 2011
Romans 5:1-8 The Demonstration of God's Love 1. The needs of every man are satisfied in God's love including (v.1-6): The need to...make peace with God, rejoice in the Hope of God's Glory, experience the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, and have a savior from sin. 2. The Love of a Gracious God (v. 7-8) Some attributes of God's love toward people include: God's love is...a personal love, when he was on the cross - I was on his mind. It is an overcoming love, It is a sacrificial love, "while we were yet sinners Christ died for us." It is a provisional love. It is always God's desire that He provide for our every need. Have you believed in Jesus as your savior? If not - trust Him Today.

The Lesson Of The Rich Young Ruler Dr. Richard Walker May 1, 2011
Considering further - The True Riches In The Kingdom Of God, Matthew 19:16-22 What can we learn about the poor state of the Rich Young Ruler? 1. His Material Prosperity and youth, 2. He possed great spiritual poverty. Revelation 3:17-19, 3. His blinding self-righteousness. Until one repents they cannot be right with God. You must lay aside all things in life that you put ahead of God. What you spend your money on is a test of what your god is. He had a ...4) Telling Test (vs. 21) and 5) a Tragic Response. Jesus said that if you love anything more than me then you cannot be my disciple. Submit to Jesus and experience joy unspeakable. Do not turn away from God today. Your eternal destiney is at stake.

Matthew 16:21-28 The Way of The Cross. Jesus prepares his disciples for what is coming. Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, The Rock, The Cornerstone, The Anointed One, The King. His disciples thought that it would be an earthly kingdom and Jesus had to tell them it would not turn out as they think. Jesus would suffer many things and be nailed to the cross and after three days raise again. The way of the cross was the path that Jesus chose because he knew it was God's will and second because he knew that he would have all of our sins poured out upon him as the sin offering. For the first time he would be separated spiritually from the Father. Jesus died on the cross because he loved us. Romans 5:8.
Parables of the Kingdom: The Hidden Treasure and The Pearl of Great Price Dr. Richard Walker April 3, 2011
Matthew 13:44-46, Men are still seeking for treasures today that do not have eternal value. Our fellowship with God day by day living in a relationship with Christ is a valuable Treasure. This treasure is more valuable than Gold. God's Kingdom has value, your soul has eternal value. When you die your soul will continue to live either in heaven or hell. God's Kingdom has a hidden nature. Just as the Treasure was hidden in a field. I Corinthians 2:14, II Corinthians 4:3-5. People go after treaasures that cannot satisfy. The discovery of God's Kingdom is that Jesus is The Pearl of Great Price. He is the hidden treasure. Jesus gave his all so that we can have a relationship with Him. Jesus ask us to give up things and follow him. Matthew 16:23-26 and Luke 9:23-27. What in your life are you clinging to and putting more value on than God? Parables Of The Kingdom: The Parable Of The Wheat And The Tares Dr. Richard Walker March 20, 2011
Matthew 13:24-30 and 36-43 Why does God allow evil in the world? If God were to judge the world right now many would be eternally lost. The characters are: 1. A Man - who sowed good seed in the field - Jesus Christ himself. We are at church to meet with Jesus Christ he si sowing the seed of the gospel with the desire that we be changes. 2. The Wheat - Is the good seed - The Children of the Kingdom. You can be a tool for God's glory. People should not feel comfortable doing worldly things around you. 3. The Field - The world, including the spiritual kingdom of God on the earth. Every person should hear the love of Christ. 4. The Men Who Are Asleep - God needs watchmen- we are to be salt and light. 5. The Enemy - Satan - The devil hates Jesus. The devil will not leave The Church alone. God will allow this for a time. 6. The Parables Of The Kingdom: The Parable Of The Sower Dr. Richard Walker March 13, 2011
Matthew 13:1-9 and 10-23 Jesus did not have a perect record in evangelistic success. The problem is in the condition of he heart of the one who is listening. People remember stories. Jesus spoke in parables to open the eyes of the faithful. Isaiah 6:8 reminds us of 1. The Mission of the Sower 2. The nature of the seed - it is The Word Of God. 3. The condition of the soil. The soil of the wayside is hardened. The soil of the stoney place. The soil overtaken in thorns has not learned to cast burdens on Jesus. The good fertile soil. What kind of soil describes you?
The Sermon On The Mount: Declaring God's Word With Authority Dr. Richard Walker March 6, 2011
Matthew 7:28-29 How do Christians measure success in ministry? Is entertainment to draw a crowd pleasing to God? Three aspects of power and authority. 1. Jesus spoke with authority because he spoke the Word of God. John 14:23-24, II Timothy 3:14-17, What Jesus taught was God breathed, pharasees had replaced God's teachings with mans. 2. Authority comes with a sense of God's calling in our life. Do we do things to stay out of trouble? What happens when you neglect the call? 3. The Authority of the Holy Spirit that provides wisdom and power. Isaiah 61:1, John 3:34-36, Acts 1:8. Do you have Jesus in your life, can you declare God's word with authority? If not, trust Jesus today.
The Sermon On The Mount: Building Our Lives On A Firm Foundation Dr. Richard Walker February 27, 2011
Matthew 7:24-27 Contrast the wise man who builds his house on the rock and the foolish man who builds his house on the sand. What are some foundations worthy of building your life upon? 1. Faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ. (I Corinthians 3:9-11) 2. Obedience to the commands of Christ. Partial obedience is no obedience at all. (Deuteronomy 11:26-32) and (John 14:15) and (1 Peter 1:13) 3. Imitate Christ and be conformed to his image (Romans 8:28-29) Donald Trump is not a Christian role model. You become like the people that you are around. Bad company spoils good character. 4. Daily fellowship with Christ. To neglect fellowship with Christ is a pattern for failure. On what foundation are you building your life?
